MacProject II needs at least one date from you to be able to calculate a schedule that is accurate for your project. This date should be a start date or a deadline date. You’ll also want to enter other dates that must be met within the project schedule.
For most projects, you probably need to set only one fixed date. MacProject II calculates the rest of the dates based on the task and resource durations and the network of dependencies you specify.

If you do not set the Earliest Start date for the beginning milestone on the Schedule Chart, MacProject II uses the first working day of the Project Calendar to begin its calculation.
Important: Because the dates you set override any dates MacProject II calculates, you should set as few dates as possible.
Dates you set are underlined in the Schedule Chart, Project Table, and Task Info window.
